    IS SUICIDE A SIN?

Those who wrestle with suicidal thoughts and tendencies often feel totally alone in their struggles. If you’re wondering what the Bible says about suicide, let’s take a look at several questions about Christians and suicide, look at seven stories of suicide in the Bible, and be reminded of 6 hope-filled promises we have in Scripture. If you or a loved one is struggling with suicidal thoughts and tendencies, please get help. Don’t try to face this on your own. There is hope and healing, and there are many who will journey through this trial with you. Call the National Suicide Prevention Hotline at 1-800-273-TALK(8255) at any time day or night 24/7, to talk to someone who understands. Will a Christian Go to Heaven if They Commit Suicide? The question really is, can a person who has been forgiven of their sins, who has been received by God through the mercy and…

    BREAKING THE POWER OF DOUBLEMINDEDNESS

Do you believe you are mentally ill? Have you been mentally abused or maybe it was physical as well? Is your day filled with confusion? Is confusion wrapping itself around every part of your life and cutting off the fragrant air of the Holy Spirit? Maybe you feel an imbalance in your life due to abuse of some sort or maybe it’s demonic in nature. We all have some or a few of these present in all of our lives. I believe those that have some or all of these symptoms can be released from these strongholds in the name of Jesus. If any of these symptoms are familiar to you concentrate more in those areas. Rejection is the root and door opener to a legion of demons. Talk it out with God and the Holy Spirit. Let them help you close the doors that have been opened over the…

    ANNULLING UNGODLY COVENANTS

There are words and phrases we have probably uttered and didn’t even realize we entered into an ungodly covenant. That covenant would continue to run in the background like a virus on your phone, keeping you from living your fullest life and power in Christ. When we further continue to entertain these viruses they will just keep compounding troubles on each other. It could also come in the form of generational covenants. You could have negative words spoken over you by a parent or friend or stranger or even by yourself. How many times have we told ourselves we are stupid, we are screw ups, we will never be good enough or we will never be accepted or loved and we should just give up? How many times or by how many people have we heard these phrases? You would continue to relive these statements and would cause you to…

    PRAYERS THAT DESTROY OPPRESSION

There are times when we need more than just our regular prayers. God gives us passages or scriptures to clean ourselves and restore our purity so that the Holy Spirit can indwell in us, creating a super positive charged environment, where we can fight more efficiently. These passages or scriptures are some of the best. I like to pray over myself daily with numerous scriptures that clean out, cast out and band Legion. God commands you to speak aloud. He wants your enemy to hear these God given commands that will make them come out and flee. God’s Word is your weapon. So speak it aloud. You may feel yucky or want to stop praying and commanding the enemy out but don’t stop. The enemy will flee in a number of ways even if you are saved. Saved people still sin. We are all human and fallible. Mine come out…

SURRENDER AND RECEIVE YOUR DIVINE PURPOSE

Jacob is a biblical hero who depicts the power and grace of God to change and renew. He is most commonly known in the Bible for his cunning and deceitful ways, especially towards his twin brother Esau. However, after losing to God in a wrestling match, Jacob received God’s blessings and a new name – Israel. Jacob is first mentioned in the Bible in Genesis 25. When Jacob’s mother, Rebekah, was pregnant with him and his fraternal twin Esau, she inquired of God as to why her two babies were fighting in her womb (Genesis 25:22). God replied that the enmity between the two brothers was a foreshadowing for the two nations that would arise from them. Jacob would be the forefather of Israel (Genesis 32:28, Genesis 35:10-13) and Esau of Edom (Genesis 36). Additionally, Esau, the elder twin, would become the servant of Jacob, the younger (Genesis 25:23). Fittingly, Jacob’s name is derived…

    Artisan Bread

Hi guys! I am so excited about what I made in my cast iron Dutch oven Sunday. I want to share it with you. This recipe is very minimal but produces a beautiful loaf. I have tried for years to make bread but could never achieve that exquisite crackle sound when the bread is pressed or broken open. A Dutch oven is the way to go. It creates a beautiful crust and wonderful taste. You will need a cast iron Dutch oven (pot with lid), mixing bowl and spoon, measuring cups, bowl for dough to rise in, oven safe paper to keep the loaf from sticking and easy transportation, a scraper, and a cloth to cover the dough to help retain the warmth to rise. Preheat oven to 450’ with the Dutch oven inside. Never preheat the oven without the Dutch oven inside, as it could cause the Dutch oven…

    Complacency Killed The Cat

As I hurriedly rushed to get ready for work this morning, a thought popped into my mind that, “Complacency killed the cat”. So, I decided to take a few minutes and put my ear phones in to be in the moment with the Holy Spirit. What better way to prepare for attacks than with the Spirit of Truth, the Spirit of Fire, the Spirit of Faithfulness, the Spirit of Healing, the Spirit of Righteousness, the Spirit of Goodness and Love, and the Spirit of I’ve Got Your Back. But, what happens when we become complacent? What happens when we become smug, play into self-satisfaction, self-approval, self-approbation, self-admiration, gloating, pride, carelessness, slackness, laxity or laziness. It’s so easy to get lost in self everyday. Then we wonder why we don’t hear or feel God. We disconnect ourselves when we worship self. Jeremiah 6:14 “They dress the wound of my people as…

    The Beatitudes

God laid it upon me to fast from social media and food to draw me closer to him and to hear his message to share with you. I have never attempted fasting nor thought it would have a meaningful effect. Following God’s commands can be difficult but the lessons he gives prepares you for greater things or valleys you may have to travel through. This message is so important for those who are actively seeking Jesus, God and our beautiful Holy Spirit. And let me tell you the Holy Spirit rocks! I was lead to fast first from social media to get a deeper meaning and perspective on my walk with God. I lasted fifty two days. It was a mind cleanser. Then I fasted for three days only on water and on the third day when I got in my car to go to work the thought of the…

    Breaking Soul Ties

Dear Lord in heaven,  Thank you for my life today. I break all bad emotional soul ties in my life. If through my feelings for people I have connected my soul to any of theirs, I pray that you release me from it. If anyone is taking advantage of my love for them to manipulate me, I ask that you open my eyes to it and save me from it. Save me from pity, or any other emotional blackmail. Don’t let me fall into any traps as a result of my feelings. Break all emotional unholy bonds that may be destroying my life. Break any emotional soul ties that are affecting my way of thinking. Strengthen me to resist them and guide me to know when I am falling into any traps. In Jesus name, Amen.
